Baumholder, Germany, April 14, 1957: Even before Herbert Williams has officially hit the canvas, referee Bob Surkein is sending Eugene Hamilton to a neutral corner during their USAREUR welterweight title fight. Hamilton defeated his 11th Airborne Division teammate with three second-round knockdowns for a TKO. The finals drew a crowd of 6,500 fans as the 11th Airborne won the team championship.
