June, 1962: Barges from several nations line up in
a nautical traffic jam on the Rhine River, unable to proceed because of the
grounding of a Swiss barge near the Mäuseturm. Hundreds of vessels were stalled in
lines up to 18 miles long as upstream traffic was reduced to a trickle.
