Innsbruck,
Austria, February 8, 1964: Billy Kidd, left, and Jimmy Heuga,
right, celebrate with their coach, Bob Beattie, after becoming the first two
male U.S. skiers to win Olympic medals in an Alpine event. Kidd took the silver
and Heuga the bronze in the slalom race at Innsbruck, behind gold medalist Pepi
Stiegler of Austria. Heuga was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1970; he
became a leader in teaching MS victims how to deal with the disease through
nutrition and exercise.
