Germany, October 26, 1978: Fifteen-year-old Tracy Austin warms up
for her first professional tennis tournament, the Porsche Grand Prix of
Stuttgart. Austin went on to take the tournament title, and the following year
she became the youngest woman to win the U.S. Open. She was inducted into the
International Tennis Hall of Fame in 1992 after compiling a 335-90 career
record.
